At Hijra, I built and led a UX writing team from the ground up—balancing people management with strategic content work for a new product.

Leading a team:

Managed two UX writers with different working styles and growth needs. I ran regular 1-on-1s to mentor and develop their craft, learned to navigate crises, and distributed work fairly while adapting my approach to each person.

Built team rituals that stuck: bi-weekly sharing sessions for skill-building and quarterly retrospectives to reflect and recalibrate. I also made our work visible—presenting our contributions to stakeholders to ensure the team's impact was recognized.

Defining the foundation:

Since Hijra was a new product, I spearheaded creating its tone and voice from scratch. Collaborated with design and marketing to define our voice, then worked with the research team to validate and refine it based on real user feedback.
